(Prensa Latina - Cumbancha) Havana, Cuba - The 15th Wemilere African Roots Festival will be held here from November 22 to 29, and will be dedicated to the culture of Cape Verde, organizing committee sources announced. The reflection on African legacy will be featured with an artistic contest and creation workshops, video tape samples, galas, concerts, a literary forum and tours of Havana's historical villa of Guanabacoa, where the event will be held. Among the special interventions will be the ones by investigators Natalia Bolivar and Rogelio Martínez Furé (Cuba) and Enso Segré (Mexico).

Brazilian dancer and choreographer Nanny Alves will offer a workshop with dances of her native country, such as Creoula, Maracatu and Makulele, and members of the group "La Patria es el hombre" will teach another workshop on music from black Tamunangue composers, original folk music from Lara, Venezuela. Musical groups from Cape Verde, Venezuela, Guadeloupe, and Cuba confirmed their presence in the event.
