EventsPoughkeepsie, New York, USA – Punk folksinger Ani Di Franco, will deliver music and message on stage at the 2004 Clearwater Festival, at Westchester’s Croton Point Park, in June. Festival organizers announced this week that the folk icon, whose music appeals to everyone from college students to their professors and parents, would appear at the festival both Saturday and Sunday, June 19 and 20. She will join Pete Seeger and Friends, Dar Williams, Toshi Reagon and Catie Curtis on the festival’s six stages, for a non-stop music festival to support the mission of the Sloop Clearwater.

The Father’s Day weekend festival will also feature The Nields, Patty Larkin, SONiA, Deni Bonet, Guy Davis, Sol y Canto, Shemekia Copeland and more great artists. Famous storytellers, ethnic foods, a Green Living Expo, riverbank activities and sails on the Clearwater round out the activities planned for a fun-filled family weekend.

Clearwater’s 2004 Great Hudson River Revival is more than just a blend of exceptional music and fun for the entire family. The Festival, including all stages, is 100% powered by solar energy, soy-diesel generator and wind-powered energy credits. A Green Living trade show/expo, storytellers, giant puppets, and a foot-stomping dance tend, combine with riverfront fun for adults and children, ethnic foods, a juried craft show and sale, and a chance to sail on the sloop Clearwater to make this a weekend to remember for visitors from around the world. More information on the festival and on the Clearwater organization is available online at www.clearwaterfestival.org.
