Cambridge, Massachusetts, USA - Heartbeat Records has released Creation Rebel, which includes the earliest recordings from Grammy award-winner Burning Spear. It contains music recorded as early as 1969 at the renowned Studio One label, considered by many to be the Jamaican equivalent of Motown. Produced by legendary Studio One owner and founder, Clement S. Dodd, Creation Rebel contains some of the earliest examples of Jamaican roots reggae music which influenced Bob Marley, Culture, and many other young artists who became international roots reggae stars.

Included are original Jamaican singles with improved sound quality (such as "Rocking Time"), rare stereo mixes, and other previously unreleased material. This monumental set is Heartbeat's first Studio One release since the passing of Clement S. Dodd on May 4, 2004.
