Julie De Rossi was struck and killed by a drunk driver early on the morning of March 17. She was the Event Director of Motherland Entertainment in Houston. Motherland Entertainment is a U.S.-based agency dedicated to enhancing and promoting the global exchange of world music through delivery of personalized services, working with artists representing a wide range of genre from Afro beat to hip-hop, Jazz-fusion to rock, House to world beat.
To honor her (as she did not want a funeral), there was a party Friday, March 26, at the 12 Spot in downtown Houston to celebrate the love that was her life.
