Events(Prensa Latina) Havana.- A group of young Cuban folk singers, including William Vivanco, Fernando Becquer, the duo Karma and Fidel Diaz will see the day of poet and humanist Jose Marti"s 152nd anniversary (Jan 28) singing for the occasion. The Hermanos Saiz Association -the organization of Cuban young intellectuals- and the magazine El Caiman Barbudo sponsor the ceremony, as singer and chief editor of the aforementioned publication Fidel Diaz
commented for Prensa Latina.

"Since 2003, the singer-songwriters of the new generation, as well as poets and writers of any age get together from 10 pm on the eve of the anniversary at the house where the National Hero was born to pay him tribute," Diaz stated.

José Martí's house, in the zone known as Old Havana, UNESCO World Heritage Site, is the spot where at midnight, after singing the National Anthem "a
jam session of minstrels and poets sparks off until dawn," Diaz concluded.
