Events(PRWEB) Bob Marley Day will be held at the El Foro, Tijuana’s old Jai Alai, one of the best venues in Tijuana. San Diego and Los Angeles residents are welcomed this year with a special Bus Escort from the border- to and from the venue. The event will take place Friday, February 18th, 2005. The music begins at 7:30pm. Venue: El Foro Tijuana, Mexico. On Revolución Avenue in Downtown Tijuana, Avenida. Revolucion #1500 Zona Centro. Cost: $15 adv. Tickets available online at BobMarleyDaySanDiego. Venue Information Number: +1 619-422-7607 (information in English).

Among the artists featured will be Fidel, from Argentina, Latin America’s favorite Reggae en Español star. Fidel struck out on his own as a solo artist forming a conscious Roots/Dancehall Reggae Band and released Selassie I Dios Todopoderoso, a deeply spiritual album.

There will also be a St. Croix Explosion with Army, Batch & The Zioniers. St. Croix has recently become the source of Reggae’s #1 Roots bands such as Midnite & Army.

There will also be local Tijuana bands. Esencia fuses socially conscious Spanish lyrics with reggae's African roots to create a style they call Afro-Mexica. Esencia was formally Natural one of the top bands playing Reggae music for many years and is part of the RubyDread Possee in Tijuana

Yumanos is one of Tijuana’s tightest Roots Reggae Bands founded by Tijuana’s Roots and Culture Shop Owner Ras Alphonso.
