Indie Acoustic Project: Best CDs of 2004 Finalists
03/13/2005 08:16PM
Contributed by: ARomero

AwardsThe Indie Acoustic Project has announced the finalists for the IAP's "Best CDs of 2004" Awards. The 3 finalists in each of 14 categories were selected from the multitudes of CDs that were considered for the awards. "The quality of the CDs submitted was terrific, and this has lead to the only major problem we faced: because there were far more than 42 excellent CDs (and only 42 finalist slots), many deserving recordings could not be included."

"For this year’s awards, we have increased the number of categories from 12 to 14, decreased the number of finalists from 5 to 3, and added a new set of awards—the “Songs of Note” which gives recognition to 10 outstanding songs from CDs not among the finalists.

For those of you who submitted recordings for the awards, thank you for your excellent work. It is our hope that these awards will help all indie artists by generating increased awareness of independently produced music from around the world. "

The list of finalists may also be found on our website at www.indieacoustic.com. Questions may be directed to jon@indieacoustic.com.
