CD ReviewsAman Hayer

Groundshaker (Genie Records GRCD010 , 2005)

Producer/DJ and all-round bhangra superstar Aman Hayer displays exactly why his name is so prominent on the thoroughly revitalized UK club bhangra scene. For this set he's gathered together some terrific singers & musicians to create a totally upbeat & dance crazy selection.

Aman has a great track record and learned his art under the tutelage of such luminaries as Sukshinder Shinda and Jazzy B, branching out to perform gigs and DJ sets on a truly international scale. He's collaborated with Punjabi singing stars Sardool Sikander, Malkit Singh, Sarbjit Cheema, KS Makhan, Manak-E & Kuldip Manak and Bollywood giants Richa Sharma, Sunidhi Chauhan and Jaspinder Narula.

There are 14 tracks in all collected here. All have that instant dance-floor appeal with tight, potent production and some very punchy percussion driving the rhythms hard.
