An Avalanche of New Indian Classical and Folk Music Gems

Leicester, UK- British label Sense World Music has announced the release of several new recordings this summer. The label is known for its high quality recordings of Indian classical music. Alongside master instrumentalists, the label will introduce a new Tabla Series as well as more recordings from the Saptak festival in Gujarat.

Some of the albums scheduled for release include: Shehnai by tabla player Daya Shankar; Sadhana by vocalists Rajan and Sajan Mishra; A Sacred Space by bansuri maestro Ronu Majumdar; Rasyana by Purbayan Chatterjee on sitar and Shashank on flute; The Tabla Series: Yogesh Samsi; Sundaram, a unique South Indian musical partnership of the violin maestros Ganesh and Kumaresh; Satsang (Vol. II), an album of bhajans featuring Praful Dave (vocals) and Shailesh Thakar (music); and Mandir : (Shraddha - Vol. V), a set of Gujarati devotional songs featuring several vocalists (Divyang Anjaria, Sanjeevani, Roopkumar Rathod, Praful Dave, Parthiv Gohil, Aniket Khandekar, Sonali Rathod, and Kalyani Kavthalkar) and music by Gaurang Vyas (2 CD pack).
