EventsToronto, Canada - The fourth annual Small World Music Festival returns with another season of world class music from September 22nd to October 2nd at venues across downtown Toronto.

Tickets go on sale August 22, at www.ticketpro.ca, +1 416-645-9090 as well as Soundscapes Records, 572 College Street West. For information call the Festival Hotline 416-631-4311 for complete schedules and workshop updates.

Having established itself as one of the key dates on the international arts calendar, the Small World Music Festival 2005 emerges once again connecting global music trend-setters, breaking down sound barriers and weaving musical magic into the Toronto cultural landscape.

The focal point of this year's program carries a distinctive 'Luso' theme, highlighting three of the world's most enticing Portuguese-speaking artists from three musically attuned continents - Europe's Portugal, South America's Brazil, and Africa's Cape Verde.

Festival features also include a South Asian spotlight of international savor; Along side deific-dancers, kinetic-orchestras, mantra-mixologists and virtuoso-visionaries, the Small World Music Festival 2005 will celebrate over ten days of internationally revered musicianship and melodic imagination.

2005 Program:

Mariza (Portugal)
Seu Jorge (Brazil)
Lura (Cape Verde)
MIDIval PunditZ (India)
Trio Joubran (Palestine)
Moving Sound (Taiwan)
Ash Dargan (Australia)
Hoven Droven (Sweden)
autorickshaw (Canada)
Nawal (Comoros Islands)
Boogie Wall Soundsystem (Canada)
Sidi Goma (Gujarat/India)

The Small World Music Society is a not for profit organization supported in part by the Department of Canadian Heritage, the Ontario Arts Council, the Toronto Arts Council and community affiliations.
