Chicago Cultural Center Hosts One World Under One Roof

EventsChicago (Illinois), USA – As part of the seventh annual multi-venue World Music Festival: Chicago 2005 Sept. 16-22, the Chicago Department of Cultural Affairs presents a grand evening of global sounds at the World Music Festival Open House Thursday, Sept. 22 from 6-11 p.m. at the Chicago Cultural Center, 78 E. Washington St. This concert marks the closing of the festival. Admission is free.

One World Under One Roof features Las Guitarras de España (Chicago/U.S.), Sidi Goma (India), Badi Assad (Brazil), APPEX Ensemble (Los Angeles/U.S.), Ana Moura (Portugal), Nawal (Comoros Islands), Frigg (Finland), Jake Shimabukuro (Hawaii/U.S.), and MIDIval PunditZ (India).

World Music Festival: Chicago 2005 is organized by the Chicago Department of Cultural Affairs and features the best in international
music, Sept. 16 - 22. Festival events include a mix of free and ticketed concerts, live radio broadcasts and educational workshops presented in museums, parks, cultural centers, plazas, theaters, bookstores, clubs and other venues throughout Chicago.
