New York, USA - The charismatic Portuguese fado singer Mariza is winning over critics and a new generation of young music fans with her new album Transparente, out now on Times Square Records. On her recent appearance on the top-rated UK TV show, The Jools Holland Show, Mariza was the only non-pop/rock star to share the stage with Black-Eyed Peas, Foo Fighters and Arcade Fire and, according to Holland, was the highlight performance of the evening.

Mariza will bring her charismatic live performance style to the US for a month-long tour beginning October 1 in Boston.
