Hip Hop Star Goes Reggaeton
11/26/2005 05:19AM

New CDsNew York City (New York), USA - Puerto Rican singer Bimbo has been a reigning Latin music superstar for nearly two decades and the only Latin hip-hop act to crack the Top 10 in Japan and get mobbed in the streets of Tokyo and Osaka. With his new CD, Bimbo Presenta: Reggaeton 100x35, he presents his first collection of Reggaeton [also known as reguetón] songs, from the perspective of a hip-hop artist whose specialty is keeping the audience's feet dancing.

He is revered enough to have worked with Alicia Keys (on “Karma”), Marc Anthony, Carlos Santana and even the legendary Celia Cruz. Puerto Rican-based Bimbo’s unique take on Reggaeton has already created a sensation worldwide, with the album’s irresistible first single and controversial video, “Fill Up My Gas Tank” (“Fuleteame El Tanque). To promote his video which criticizes high prices, he has been giving away thousands of dollars in gas at events in New York, Washington D.C. and Los Angeles.
