Essential Lebanese Singer Oumaima Khalil Performs in Beirut this Weekend

General NewsRenowned Lebanese singer Oumaima Khalil will perform in Beirut (Lebanon) on the 3rd and 4th of December, 2005. Ms. Oumaima Khalil will be accompanied by an 11 piece acoustic ensemble and a choral group of 7. She will be performing works by composer and ud master Marcel Khalifé, her husband composer Hani Siblini and composer and bass player Aboud Al Saadi.

Ms. Oumaima Khalil launched her artistic and musical career as a soloist with Marcel Khalife and Al Mayadine Ensemble at the age of 12. Ever since she has accompanied Marcel Khalifé in his tours as his premiere female vocalist enchanting audiences worldwide with her extraordinary voice. She has recorded with Marcel Khalife in most of his lyrical works from At The Border (Al Houdud) in 1979 to Concerto Al Andalus in 2002. Ms. Khalil has 3 releases of her own Let me Sing for You ( Khallini Ghanilak, 1994), Oumaima (2000) & Oumaima Ya (2004).

Her performances will take place at Pierre Abou Khater Theatre in Beirut at 9:00 PM.
