EventsNew York (New York), USA - Half Note Records released Will Calhoun’s Native Lands in June of 2005 and now the Living Colour drummer returns to the label’s home base January 26 – 29 to present music from the CD/DVD combo featuring Jazz meets World meets Trance Music. Set times are 8:00 p.m. and 10:30 p.m. nightly; tickets are $25.00 at tables and $15.00 at the bar.

The project’s guests include Pharaoh Sanders, Mos Def, Kevin Eubanks, Stanley Jordan, Wallace Roney, Nana Vasconcelos, Marcus Miller, Buster Williams, Cheikh Tdiane Seck, Antoine Roney, Orrin Evans, John Benitez and Gregoire Maret. You won’t see them this time around, but Greg Osby, Orrin Evans, Mark Kelly and Corey Wilkes will surely keep things swinging with their rendition of the album’s 15 cuts including the title track plus “Afro Blue,” “Pyramids,” “Naked,” “Nefertiti,” “Ancient One First Born,” “Tateich,” “Umoja,” “Emanation,” “She,” “Three Card Molly,” “Push,” “Dorita,” “East” and “Echoes of Elvin.”
