  Spain -
Tomás San Miguel + Txalaparta, a Basque world music act from spain, will perform
at the "Basque Night" at MIDEM
(Cannes, France). The concert will be held January 22.
These concerts, promoted by the Basque Government within the program Euskadiko
Soinuak, will be called "Basque Music- Vitoria Jazz Night Festival" and will be
held at the Dianne Barriere Hall, of the Majestic Hotel, located next to the
Palace of the Festival.
The group will perform compositions from the latest CD, Dan Txa, the third part of
the music trilogy with txalaparta (pronounced chalaparta) after
Lezao and
Ten.
Dan Txa was listed at #15 in the January 2006 list of European World Music
Charts.
