As the old saying goes, the girls won’t leave the boys alone, and after the tremendous acclaim heaped on Celtic Connections’ Scottish Women project, the male representatives of Scotland’s rich and varied song traditions could hardly be expected not to reply in kind – and then some. The full, multi-generational panoply of regional and individual song styles is reflected in tonight’s glittering array of talent and experience.

Featuring Brian McNeill, Arthur Cormack, Dick Gaughan, Iain Mackay, Rod Paterson, Donnie Munro, John Morran, and James Graham, who will take turns singing accompanied by Findlay Napier, Fraser Fifield, Brian McAlpine, Tom Lyne, and Mike Travis, the show will be a mix of Gaelic and Scots songs, traditional and contemporary music, loud and ferocious, soft and beautiful sound, and lots of harmony singing. Musically directing this fantastic line-up are Corrina Hewat and Maggie MacInnes.
