EventsSeattle, USA - The Pacific Jazz Institute at Dimitriou’s Jazz Alley will present legendary blues man Dr. John for six nights, March 14 -19, 2006. Band members include John Fohl (guitar), David Barard (bass) and Herman Ernest III (drums). Set times Tuesday and Wednesday are at 7:30pm, Thursday through Saturday at 7:30pm and 9:30pm, and Sunday at 6:30pm and 8:30pm. 2033 The venue is located at 6th Avenue, Seattle, WA 98121. Cost: $26.50 – 28.50.

Dr. John proudly stands along side of Louis Armstrong and Fats Domino as one of New Orleans’ all-time distinctive voices. Not only is the Good Doctor’s dry, gravel cackle one of the most infectious sounds in both jazz and popular music, it is also universally celebrated as the living embodiment of the rich musical heritage exclusive to the Crescent City.

Touring in support of his most recent release, Sippiana Hericane (Blue Note) and his upcoming release Mercinary -Dr. John does Johnny Mercer, (Blue Note), multiple Grammy Award-winner, Dr. John “fonkifies” Jazz Alley during his annual six night visit.
