North American Acoustic Africa Toured Planned

The IMN agency, in association with Putumayo World Music, has announced the
Acoustic Africa tour. Acoustic Africa includes
Habib
Koité, the
Malian superstar whose vibrant concerts have endeared him to audiences
worldwide;
Vusi
Mahlasela , a powerful singer-songwriter who spins tales of
struggle and hope in South Africa; and newcomer
Dobet
Gnahoré, a stunning
performer from the Ivory Coast who has thrilled crowds across Africa and
Europe.
The tour will coincide with the Putumayo World Music release of a
new
Acoustic Africa CD featuring these and other African artists. The tour is scheduled to begin October 12, 2006.
