Sitarist and composer Dawoud has a new recording titled Renegade Sufi. Guest musicians on Renegade Sufi include Mordior Bamba (vocals, percussion), Ravish Momin (percussion), Tonya Ridgely (flute, vocals), Danny Zanker (bass), and Mark Hagen (bass).

In addition to composing and arranging all of the music on his CD, Dawoud also produces CD projects, composes music for film and theater, presents solo performances, guest appearances on recordings and on stage, and somehow finds time to work on his artworks and poetry.
