Colours of Krishna, by GS Rajan, looks at different relationships with Krishna - the relationship of his mother Yashoda, his love Radha, the eternal devotee Meera, the hundreds of gopis of Gokul and the thousands of devotees of Braj. This album is a musical journey through passion - the passion of forbidden love, the frenzy of ecstatic infatuation out of wedlock, the madness of the heart.

Krishna is easily the most contemporary figure in Indian mythology, who's irresistible attraction was symbolized by his mesmerizing flute. To devotees, Krishna inspires love. "He gives to passion a dignity and pride which makes loving a celebration of life," says the CD press release. "In Krishna, God expressed himself in a completely human form, from within and without. He is Bhava - feeling, emotion. By celebrating the Life of Krishna, we learn to celebrate every bhava of life to the fullest - passion, love, longing, pining, yearning. And that is the purpose of our existence - to just be - to celebrate our humanness, our desires and aspirations, joys and sorrows, relationships and challenges."
