General NewsSri Lanka born star Alston Koch, now living in Australia, has released a song simply called Murali, dedicated to Sri Lanka's World Champion Cricket Bowler, Muttiah Muralitharan.

Alston has been a leading Sri Lankan musician since the 1960s.He has performed with some of the major Sri Lankan groups in the 1960s and 1970s. Alston Koch is a friend of Sri Lanka's star spinner, Muttiah Muralitharan who recently swept aside Australian Shane Warne's world record of 708 wickets. Murali is now the World Champion - he could well break the 1,000 wicket record. He is known as the 'King of Spin' and is on top of the world with Sri Lankan cricket. Murali broke the world record against the England cricket team who are currently playing a 3 test match series on the island.

Murali has personally endorsed Alston Koch's song. This is the first ever song on the Sri Lankan cricket star.
