Madison (Wisconsin), USA - Sony Creative Software announced the release of The Electronic Music Manuscript: A Richard Devine Collection, a 2-CD, 24-bit royalty-free Premium Collection loop library featuring the boutique sound design and skilled programming of one of the industry’s most credible and in-demand composers.

Sony Creative Software is thrilled to have partnered with Richard Devine on this extensive, one-of-a-kind collection,” said Dave Chaimson, vice president of global marketing for Sony Creative Software. “Devine has made incredible contributions to the world of sound design and electronic music. The material included in this premium library is an intriguing mix of dark rhythms, cinematic beauty and contemporary beats that will appeal to a wide cross section of music producers.”

Already an industry veteran at the age of 32, Devine has released original artist material through several of the world’s most revered and progressive electronica labels, including Warp, Asphodel, and Schematic. He has provided original music for a number of feature films, and has created sound design for marquee video game titles including Halo 2, Dance Dance Revolution and Gears of War.

The material featured on The Devine Manuscript allows musicians and producers to combine high quality electronica, cinematic textures and rough industrial audio to create fresh royalty-free music and sound. The Devine Manuscript contains over 1.2 gigabytes of logically organized material that features a series of ready-to-load Native Instruments Battery 3 kits. Each disc also includes a short film that explores Devine’s recording environments and creative processes. An enclosed booklet contains an in-depth interview with the artist as well as many color photographs.

I’m honored that Sony Creative Software has released my first official sound library,” said Devine. “The audio material I’ve created for The Devine Manuscript is a wonderful introduction to my world of sound design and composition, and I hope it will inspire and invoke the artist to explore the deep potential of electronic composition and production.”

Devine will be showcasing material from his library live at the Winter Music Conference in Miami as part of Sony Creative Software’s participation in Remix Hotel Miami. The event will take place on Thursday, March 27 at The National Hotel, and will also feature performances by Grammy-nominated producer Carmen Rizzo and video remixers Eclectic Method.
