Legendary Jamaican Band, Culture, Live in New York
08/04/2007 02:45AM
Contributed by: WMC_News_Dept.

EventsNew York (NY), USA - On Tuesday, August 7th, S.O.B.’s presents the iconic roots reggae band, Culture. Founded in the 1970's golden age of reggae, Culture has long been reggae’s preeminent harmony group and has garnered continual US and international acclaim for its extensive series of classic “roots” albums.

Culture’s long-time front man, Joseph Hill, passed away last year in the midst of a European tour, leaving his son, Kenyatta Hill to take up the band’s lead. Kenyatta stepped up and finished the tour, and has since led Culture through various festivals and concert venues to much acclaim, shocking critics and fans around the world by how similar he sounds to his late great dad.

On Tuesday August 7th, Kenyatta Hill leads Culture to S.O.B.’s, for a unique and intimate concert. Familiar fans will have plenty to cheer for as Kenyatta sings songs like “Jah Rastafari”, “Money Girl” and “Two Sevens Clash”, and new fans will be in for a special treat, as they have an unforgettable experience, remarkably close to the original Culture concerts of the 1970’s.
