General NewsParis, France - Metis, a label and production company based in Bamako and Paris, aims at promoting modern world music – with a special focus on the new scene for African music. With artists such as Mandé Bossa, Amsiwel, Nampé Sadio and Adama Yalomba on their roster and Toungarap festival in their pocket, Metis have definitely earned themselves a solid spot at the front of the world music scene.

In the spring and summer of 2008 Metis will be organizing a tour throughout Germany, Belgium and Mexico for Adama Yalomba. They are working out distribution agreements at the moment for Yalomba and Mandé Bossa with several distributors worldwide.
