Michael McDonald Makes Blue Note Debut in March

World famous rock and soul singer and five-time Grammy winner Michael McDonald of the Doobie Brothers and Steely Dan will make his Blue Note debut for two nights only in March, one set per night. On opening night, McDonald will officially release his latest CD titled Soul Speak, the third installment in a series of Motown-themed releases (after Motown and Motown Two from ’03 and ’04, respectively).

This month, McDonald accomplished the rare feet of debuting on three different radio charts with three different singles from Soul Speak; “Your Love Keeps Lifting Me Higher And Higher,” the Teddy Pendergrass hit “Love TKO,” and “Walk On By.” McDonald will bring the music of Soul Speak to the Blue Note for two nights only at the Blue Note, 131 W 3rd St, New York, NY.

Tuesday, March 4 – Wednesday, March 5, 2008;
1 set per night, 8PM only

With Michael McDonald (vocals), Bernie Chiaravalle (guitar), Lanice Morrison (guitar & vocals), Vince Denham (tenor saxophone), John Deaderick (keyboard), Yvette "Baby Girl" Preyer (drums), Drea Rhenee (vocals)
Cost: $55 ticket
