Flamenco Fusionists Ojos de Brujo Release Techarí Live in CD and DVD This Week

Contributed by: WMC_News_Dept.

New ReleasesAfter aggressively touring the globe in support of their Latin Grammy Award Winning studio album, Techarí (translates to “free”), Ojos de Brujo return with a new release capturing all the energy, excitement, and magic of their December 2006 live performance in Barcelona, Spain. Six Degrees Records released Techarí Live  March 18, 2008, in North America as a 2-disc album featuring both the DVD and audio CD. Extras include a documentary, video diary, and music videos.

The professional audio CD and DVD features a handful of special guests including a throbbing horn section led by Carlos Sarduy, Martirio on a head-rush rendition of “Todo Tiende,” and Daara J  MC Faada Freddy for a feisty version of Bob Marley's “Get Up Stand Up.”

Ojos de Brujo’s signature flamenco dancers and stimulating AV graphics also add visual fireworks to the DVD. Throughout the performance is the sense of a collective who are restlessly nomadic in their search for new sounds, and genuinely delighted to share it with us.
