Swati

Small Gods (Bluhammock, 2007)

Indian-American singer-songwriter Swati is a spectacular guitarist. Her latest album Small Gods focuses on her singer-songwriter side. The songs are interesting enough, but what really attracts attention is her fabulous guitar technique. Swati uses a twelve string guitar fitted with eight strings. She uses her guitar in multiple ways, ranging from percussive tapping to creating electronic effects.

Swati should consider having two parallel musical careers, as other musicians have. As a guitarist she is extraordinarily innovative and creative and deserves more attention.

Buy Small Gods.
