New FilmsPalm Springs (California), USA - "Keep on Moving: The UB40 Story", a one-hour film produced on-location in Britain by TV journalist Tom Jordan which reviews the legendary reggae group's 28 year history, will be presented to the public at a special screening Thursday, June 21, 7:30pm at The Camelot Theatre, 2300 E. Baristo Rd., Palm Springs. Tickets are $15.00 each, and may be purchased at the door or in advance through the Camelot (TF#760-325-6565; daily 11:30am-8:30pm Pacific).

Jordan shot the documentary over the last two years on-location in Birmingham, England, UB40's "home turf," as they were finishing up production on their current album, Who You Fighting For?" and as they were preparing for a concert at London's prestigious Royal Albert Hall. He traces their working-class Midlands England roots, and follows the band in-studio, during rehearsals, and in live performances to reveal their inner workings, their struggles, tragedies, victories and determination to spread their unique brand of reggae music around the world.

The documentary contains exclusive footage and one-on-one interviews with each member of the group, as well as commentary from contemporary musicians such as Roger Daltry of The Who.

"I wanted to document the work of this truly iconic group and how they brought their field of music - reggae - into the mainstream," said Jordan, who produced, wrote and edited the documentary. "UB40 has been around for nearly three decades, and they are still going strong. As they are poised to return to the US as part of their new world tour, I wanted to release this documentary to US audiences now."

Tom Jordan has been co-anchor of the KMIR6 News since May of 1999, and has worked as a broadcast journalist throughout California and Washington State. He co-anchored two Emmy-Award-winning newscasts on the September 11 attacks, and served as executive producer and host of the TV news magazine "Eye on Riverside County."
