This report was made with help from Erin Scholze and WPVM staff
Asheville, located in the heart of the Blue Ridge mountains, has become a magnet for many artists (specially musicians and potters), who are attracted by its bohemian lifestyle.
There is diverse talent in Asheville. Bluegrass musicians abound, but there are also Latin and rock artists. The Toubab Krew, Afromotive, and Avec La force Percussion Initiative and dancers all spent time studying music in Africa and brought African music into the Asheville community.
