ISC entrants have the opportunity to have their songs heard by a judging panel that includes some of the most high-profile members of the music industry - including presidents of record labels.
The contest grants awards in cash and prizes to 50 winners, including an Overall Grand Prize package that includes cash and merchandise.
Merlefest instrument contests
Merlefest is the largest American roots music festival. Every year it has several instrument contests during the festival. Winners have the opportunity of winning cash prizes and new instruments. At this time, Merlefest has three contests:

An annual recorded Music contest offering the opportunity for aspiring songwriters and musicians to have their songs heard in a professional quality Music CD. The Competition was conceived with the belief that good Music can be created within a modest budget.
